Houw Hoek

Houw Hoek is a farm stall about 25 minutes over Sir Lowrys Pass, which serves some delicious food as well as snacks. On the plot there’s a beautiful area that you can drive your car right down to and fish in a small damn, under the weeping willows. The dam also has an area to picnic as well as some benches to sit at.

Several visits to the venue resulted in just 2 bites and 0 catches unfortunately. The fish are visible from the edge of the bank, but they don’t strike the flies, from attraction or aggression flies, slow retrieve and fast retrieve, wet and dry.
